Her parents, Chaldean Catholics, emigrated from Iraq in the early 1980s to escape persecution. Habba has graduated Kent Place School in 2002 and earned a degree in political science from Lehigh University in 2005. Before pursuing law, she worked in the fashion industry with Marc Jacobs. In 2011, she earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
