early life
Alpha P was born in Benin City, Edo State on February 26, 2002. He is the fourth of seven children and grew up with two siblings.
The teenage rapper’s talent was apparent at the age of four, when he attended a church program with other children.
He is also a childhood friend of popular music artist Rema.

Alpha P completed his primary and secondary education in Benin City, Edo State and matriculated at the University of Benin where he studied for two years.
In 2017, he left Benin to continue his studies at the University of Lagos.

Alpha P originally started out as a songwriter and drew inspiration from church choirs while growing up.
At that time, he formed a band called RNA with his good friend Rema, which caused a sensation. Together, they won the talent and signed a deal with Peak Entertainment, and then released their first single “Mercy”.
