Andrea Bocelli revealed in a recent interview that he wanted to impress his 12-year-old daughter Virginia and to do that, he had to collaborate with one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Taylor Swift.

The singer spoke to Mirror UK ahead of his Hyde Park gig, where he shared his thoughts on duetting with the ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker.

His daughter, Virginia, also shared with the news outlet that Swift is her favorite singer and that she will be going to see one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in the next few days.

Interviewer Tom Bryant said, “It would be great if he collaborated with her next time,” and Andrea Bocelli replied, “I’ve thought about it and it could be a great thing.”

In the same interview, Bocelli recalled the 1991 free concert by renowned artist Luciano Pavarotti in London’s Hyde Park to celebrate his 30th year in the industry.

“I remember watching it on TV, Pavarotti was amazing… I remember Diana was there and there were a lot of people. It was so touching,” he said.

Decades later, Bocelli performed at the same venue again, also to celebrate his 30th year in the music industry. Despite being a celebrity for many years, the musician admitted that he still felt nervous.

“To be honest, I’m a little nervous. It’s going to be a historic moment, but I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. The performance will be special because he’ll be joined by his son, Matteo, and daughter, Virginia.

“When she sings, I feel so happy… Children need freedom, and I hope when she grows up, she will follow what her heart tells her to do,” Bocelli, who is determined not to put too much pressure on her, said of his 12-year-old.

Bocelli will make history as the first classical artist to perform at American Express Presents BST Hyde Park. Along with his children, he will also be joined by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Robbie Williams and Shania Twain will also perform headline acts later.

Matteo’s solo performance will take place from 5:10 to 5:50 p.m., Katherine Jenkins will perform from 6:30 to 7:20 p.m., and Bocelli will take the stage from 8 to 10 p.m.
