During the 2022-23 season, she placed 31st overall with a final time of 1:43.50 in the 200 medley relay at the CSCAA National Championships; took second place in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:08.11 over UC Davis; clocked 59.37 in the 100-yard butterfly to place first against CSU East Bay; and recorded a time of 2:05:50 for a top-10 finish in the 200-yard Butterfly at Mizzou Invite

She is from Bucharest, Romania and has an IB diploma from Bucharest International School. In her home country, she competed at the World and European Youth Championships. Andreea decided to attend SJSU because of its programs in kinesiology, sports management and psychology.

As a senior at San Jose State, Andreea decided to spend her summer as a lifeguard in Florida. To announce her new job, Andreea posted a video on TikTok, which went viral.
