The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Davis from the Pelicans in July 2019 in exchange for six other players. In October of that year, Davis made his Lakers debut against the Los Angeles Clippers.
His team lost 112-102 despite him having 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in 37 minutes.
Davis opted to become a free agent in January 2020 instead of accepting the Lakers’ four-year offer with a reported maximum extension of $146 million, and he can now sign a five-year deal worth a maximum of $202 million in the summer.
