Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua OBE (born 15 October 1989), known as Anthony Joshua, is a British professional boxer. He holds the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.

Early life and education
Robert Joshua and Yeta Odusanya welcomed Anthony Joshua into the world on October 15, 1989, in Watford, Hertfordshire. He spent most of his formative years in his native Nigeria. When his parents separated when he was five, his mother decided to return. His parents are Nigerian.
He returned to Watford to attend Kings Langley High School. Because his middle name is Oluwafemi, his friends and teachers nicknamed him Femi. He has three siblings: Jacob Joshua, Janet Joshua and Loretta Joshua.
Growing up, Anthony Joshua was a standout rugby player and track and field athlete. He also showed great promise as a sprinter when he broke the 100-meter record by covering the distance in 11.6 seconds. Before starting his boxing career, he was a bricklayer.
His cousin Ben Ileyemi drove him to the Barnet Finchley Amateur Boxing Club. This turned out to be a turning point as he soon began boxing training there.
Career
In 2009 and 2010, Anthony Joshua won the Haringey Boxing Cup twice in a row. He won all 18 of his amateur fights in his 20s, including the ABA Senior Championships. He turned down a £50,000 offer to become a professional boxer.
In the European Amateur Boxing Championships in June 2011, he defeated Cathal McMonagle and Eric Brechlin. However, he was interrupted by Romanian boxer Mihai Nistor.
He won the GB Amateur Boxing Championships early on while competing for Team GB. He was awarded a place in the 2012 Olympic Games for his performance at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships. Anthony Joshua has an amateur record of 40-3 and was named Amateur Boxer of the Year 2011 by the Boxing Writers’ Club of Great Britain.
Despite being an amateur boxer on the world stage, he won the gold medal in the super heavyweight event at the 2012 London Olympics by defeating Italy’s Roberto Cammarelle.
In October 2013, he made his professional debut for Matchroom Sport. He went undefeated in all 19 of his fights over the next three years. At the age of 24, he won the WBC International Heavyweight title. He went on to win the Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship in 2015, taking on Gary Cornish. He then successfully defended the title against Dillian Whyte, but with a number of defeats.
To win his first world title, Anthony Joshua went on to defeat IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin in 2016. He defeated Dominic Breazeale in the fight to retain the title. In 2017, Anthony Joshua faced Eric Molina in his second defense of the IBF title. He continued to win and the average viewership of his fights continued to increase.
The much anticipated fight between him and Wladimir Klitschko was scheduled for April 2017 at Wembley. The WBA Super Heavyweight title, which was up for grabs, was on the line. In front of 90,000 spectators, he defeated his opponent with theatrical style. The most important fight Anthony Joshua faced was against Wladimir Klitschko. Boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko had only lost once in his career.

There were rumors of a rematch between the two men. However, on August 3, 2017, Wladimir Klitschko announced his retirement from boxing, ending those rumors.
Anthony Joshua’s next opponent in the WBA title defence was Kubrat Pulev. However, Carlos Takam replaced Kubrat Pulev due to injury. This caused a stir as over 70,000 tickets had been sold. But on the day of the fight, crowds flocked to the venue to see Anthony Joshua successfully defend his title.
With a career-maximum payday of £18 million, he will face Joseph Parker. The fight is scheduled to take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on January 8, 2018. Anthony Joshua was able to successfully defend his WBO title in a dramatic contest. Moreover, he has retained his title for a long time.

Anthony Joshua was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2013 in recognition of his services to boxing in his home country.
Personal life
Anthony Joshua and Nicole Osborne, a pole-dancing instructor he knew from school, have a child together, Prince Joseph Bayley Temiloluwa Joshua. They are jointly responsible for Joseph’s duties. Nicole Osbourne, a dance teacher and yoga instructor, is the mother of Prince Joseph Bayley Temiloluwa Joshua. She and Anthony Joshua, the father of her son and a famous boxer, are no longer together.
Boxer Amir Khan has accused Anthony Joshua of having an affair with his ex-wife Farval Makhdoom. Anthony Joshua has denied the reports, saying he has never even spoken to Farval Makhdoom.
Anthony Joshua is the boyfriend of Vick Hope (2018) and Faryal Makhdoom (2017). He is also rumored to have dated Bella Hadid (2017). He is not married.
