early life
Fravor was born on November 23, 1983 to Mr. and Mrs. Okoli. His parents named him Chinedu Okoli. His father’s name is Benjamin Okolie. He also has a brother, Okolie Chidera Emmanuel, also known as DJ Derekz.
He is from the South Eastern region of Nigeria and belongs to the Igbo ethnic group. He was born and raised in Enugu State. But his ancestral home is Umonze, located in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Fravor was raised in a Christian family and attended a Pentecostal church from an early age. His musical career began at the age of 13 when he joined the local church choir. He started out as a drummer in the choir and later learned other instruments to become a musician.

Fravor started playing drums professionally when he was a teenager. His first job was with a local band in Enugu. He also mastered the skills of playing the piano and played both instruments in the band. After that, he received an invitation to perform in the city center of Enugu.
In 2005, he released his debut studio album titled N’abania. This album was released during his contract with the record label Obiano Music. The album was relatively successful and it performed well in the southeastern part of Nigeria compared to other parts of the country.
Eager to break into the Nigerian mainstream music scene, Fravor took time off to hone his songwriting skills and perfect his sound. After a five-year hiatus, he released his second studio album, Uplifted, in 2010. Unlike its predecessor, Uplifted was a commercial success in Nigeria and Africa. The album included hits such as Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix), Adamma and Oyi Remix featuring Tiwa Savage, and was released on Lolhiphop Records.
Since rising to fame, Flavour has released four more commercially successful studio albums. His third album, Blessed, was released in 2012 by 2nite Entertainment. The album has been hailed as his most successful and biggest project to date.
In 2014, he released a 22-track album, Thankful. The album included hits such as “Ololufe” (featuring Chidinma) and “Wake Up” (featuring Wande Coal). Thankful received positive reviews from critics and sold out in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
He released his fifth and sixth studio albums in 2017 and 2020 respectively. The former, “Ijele”, is an album containing 17 songs, while the latter, titled “Flavour Of Africa”, contains 16 songs.
Flavour has worked with Phyno, Diamond Platnumz, Fally Ipupa, Larry Gaaga, Theresa Onuorah, Pete Edochie, Semah G. Weifur, P-Square, Umu Obiligbo, Zoro, Biggie Igba, Waga G and many more.
