Aoki Lee Simmons defends Diddy’s ‘awesome’ kids: ‘It’s not their fault’

Aoki Lee Simmons, daughter of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons, was recently asked what she thought about Diddy, the rapper, producer and record executive aka Sean Combs, who was arrested and charged. indicted last month for sex trafficking, racketeering, and more.

Diddy is currently awaiting trial in May 2025 from a jail cell in Brooklyn.

After Diddy was arrested in September, Kimora left a subtle message for her ex-husband Russell. In recent times, Russell – whose successful career in the music world was affected when he was publicly accused of sexual assault by multiple women in 2017 – spoke out in support of Diddy.

Now, Aoki, a former model who maintains a close relationship with Diddy’s twin teenage daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, finally spoke out about her part this week.

“What do I think about Diddy?” Aoki said in a social media video that was re-shared online. “I think his daughters and his children are wonderful people and I really hope you treat them with love and respect, because they are good kids.”

She added, “And it’s not their fault that anything — anything, adults — it’s an adult thing. And they’re not adults. My little cousins? They’re adults. are in school, they are not adults. So treat them like children.

There has long been a friendly relationship between the Diddy and Simmons families. Kimora was a close friend of D’Lila and the latter’s mother, Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018. Porter had a long-term relationship with Diddy, albeit sporadic, from 1994 to 2007; she also gave birth to their son Christian.

In fact, earlier this spring, Kimora shared prom photos of D’Lila and Jessie, promising to “fiercely” protect the girls as Entertainment Tonight reported.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team is now demanding the disclosure of the anonymous accusers in his federal case.

The rap mogul’s lawyers argued that by revealing the anonymous accusers, they would be able to conduct a proper investigation against the allegations against Diddy. His lawyers argued that their client’s opportunity for a “fair trial” could be hindered if they were not given access to accusers to fight the multiple charges against Diddy.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.
