Early life
Apostle Joshua Selman, as he is affectionately called, was born on June 25, 1980 in the city of Jos, Plateau State.
Education
He completed his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate in Jos.
He then attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria to further his education.
He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from the University.
Career
Apostle Joshua was born again as a child in Sunday School. Since then, he has been growing stronger in the Lord.
Growing up, he always spent time praying while his friends played.
He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit after a minister of God came to his high school to preach.
His ministry began while he was in college. He began preaching the word of God, sharing the gospel with fellow students.
At this time, he had a vision in which he saw thousands of people crying bitterly because they were hungry and thirsty. And in that vision, he seemed to have the solution to their problems.
This spiritual encounter made him realize that God was calling him into full-time ministry. And his purpose in life was to nourish people with the Word of God.
Another time he had an encounter where he saw Jesus Christ in a vision. Jesus stretched out his hand toward him and immediately a great light shone down upon him.
After this encounter, he began to understand more clearly the word of God (the Bible).
In 2011, his ministry hosted a program called Koinonia. Koinonia is the Greek word for Christian congregation. They have hosted this program every year since then, and several attendees have testified that they have been blessed and experienced miracles.
His mentors in ministry are Pastor EA Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Reinhard Bonnke, Benny Hinn and many others.
Personal life.
On June 25, 2020, Apostle Selman turned 44 years old and he was honored by members around the world and those who have been blessed by his teachings.
He has never been married. He is currently engaged to Sandra Areh and their wedding is scheduled to take place in December 2020 or early 2021.
