Marriage may even be considered, as a trusted source is shared with Entertainment tonight: “They are continuing to appreciate and enjoy this moment, both professionally and personally. They are in no rush to get engaged, even though it is something they both see happening.”
The two first sparked romance rumors in the summer of 2023 after meeting on the set of the two-part musical extravaganza in late 2022. At the time, Slater was married to his on-again, off-again lover his high school friend, Lilly Jay. Their first child was born in early 2022, but in July 2023, Slater officially filed for divorce.

She talks about heartbreak on her 2024 album eternal sunshine, although she never publicly explained the reason for their breakup.
Meanwhile, Grande and Slater are certainly enjoying each other’s company, moving in together in 2023 and enjoying the historic success of their movie. This prompted Slater’s ex-wife to publicly criticize Grande after her divorce, saying Page Six she is not a “girl’s daughter”, claiming that “family is just collateral damage.”
While their untimely separation from their spouses sparked rumors surrounding the nature of their relationship, Grande shared with Vanity fair that the world has got it all wrong. “The most disappointing thing is to see so many people believing the worst version of it [our relationship.] There cannot be a less accurate depiction of a man than the image the tabloids spread of him.”
Grande continued, “No one on this earth tries harder or leaner to be there for the people he loves and cares about. No one on this earth has a better heart, and that’s what which no bull— tabloids can rewrite in real life.”
