Ariana Grande will not tour in 2025 Instagram
Fans of Ariana Grande called out the singer’s Golden Globes interviewer over an insensitive question regarding her grandmother.
The red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes is one of the most anticipated segments at the event as many celebrities are given the chance to shine. The exciting lineup included Grande, who attended the event after being nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda Upland in sinister.
Grande’s appearance went viral on social media, where fans expressed how stunning she looked thanks to her fashion and style. However, many people were outraged by the uncomfortable moment that occurred during Grande’s interview at the awards show.
According to a clip circulating on platform X (formerly Twitter), an interviewer asked 7 rings singer about who she called after receiving news of her nomination.
“Who was the first person you called when you found out you were nominated?” the interviewer asked.
Grande revealed that she called her mother first to tell her the big news, but the singer was interrupted by a question that many considered insensitive: “Is your grandmother still alive?”
The question was handled very well by Grande and she replied: “Yes, my Nonna, she is 99 years old. Nonna is the second one (who knows).”
Netizens were appalled by the interviewer’s comment, causing them to express how confusing this question was.
This is not the first time Nonna, whose real name is Marjorie Grande, has been in the media spotlight. Grande always shows her love for her by including her in music and taking her to the movies.
