Azzaid Nasenya was born on July 16, 1995. She was born and raised in Mumias in the Western Region of Kenya.
She and her family moved from Mumias to Kakamega and later to Nairobi. Her talent for acting was recognised at the age of seven when she was an integral part of her primary school drama group.

Azziad Nasenya started her primary education at Mumias Central Primary School. She eventually completed her primary education at Lugulu Girls Boarding Primary School in Nairobi.

After completing her primary education, she enrolled at St. Cecilia’s Misihu Girls High School in Misihu and completed her secondary education in 2017.
She is currently studying Broadcast Journalism at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

Azziad Nasenya’s career began in secondary school. She competed in the Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festival and made it to the national level. She joined the popular Hearts of Art theatre company in Nairobi. She met her current manager Peter Kawa while performing with the company.
She opened an account on TikTok in August 2019. She used the platform to showcase her dancing, lip-syncing, and acting skills until she became famous through the platform.
She won several TikTok challenges and was finally certified in 2020. In the same year, during the coronavirus lockdown, her TikTok video recording of dancing to Femi One and Mejja’s Utawezana song went viral on different social media platforms such as the instant messaging app WhatsApp.
She also has her own YouTube channel and hosts the show, The Shoe Game. This platform opened a door for her in the acting industry and she starred in two movies, Parenting and Selina (note that her career started in 2020).
She co-hosts Concert Nyumbani with Mwaniki Mageria, a television show dedicated to the warriors (doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists, radiographers, physiotherapists and technicians) on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
She is currently an official ambassador for the Save Our Future campaign.
