Bandits once again struck fear into the hearts of Katsina state when they kidnapped Hajiya Halima Adamu, the revered mother of famous Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Dauda Kahutu Rarara. The incident occurred in the early morning of June 28, 2024, at her residence in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina state.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers arrived on foot and silently entered the village at around 1 am. They approached Hajiya Adamu’s house and kidnapped her, leaving the rest of the family unharmed. The robbers’ audacity in targeting the mother of a prominent figure in the community sent shockwaves throughout the area.

Rarara, known for his great music and his support for All Progressive Congress (APC), has yet to make a statement on the kidnapping of his mother. However, the incident has sparked outrage among fans and the public, with many expressing condolences and praying for the safe return of Hajiya Adamu.
The Katsina State Police Command has been informed of the incident and has launched a search and rescue operation to secure the release of Hajiya Adamu. The Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa, has assured the public that the police force is doing everything possible to ensure her safe return and bring the culprits to justice.
