Early life

Basani Maluleke’s birthplace is in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, South Africa.

In 2012, she returned to South Africa after earning her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. She became head of the private client department of First National Bank.

She joined a corporate finance company after leaving banking and then moved to African Bank as a non-executive director in 2015. She is the co-founder and founder of the company African Century Ventures to help African businesses.
