On December 8, Jay-Z was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV VMA afterparty with rapper Diddy.
Fox News reported that in the civil lawsuit, the victim, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that she was drugged and assaulted by Carter and Combs.
The victim claimed that there were other celebrities in the room when she was assaulted. Before the assault, the girl was allegedly taken by a friend to Radio City Music Hall to watch the 2000 MTV Music Awards.
She was then allegedly picked up by a limo driver working for Combs. Instead of attending the awards ceremony, she was allegedly taken to the afterparty where the assault took place.
“Combs has been allowed to behave this way for years without any consequences. He believes he is above the law. He is not. His close friend Shawn Carter has been along for the ride.” with Combs in many of these cases. … Both perpetrators must face justice,” the lawsuit said.
Jay-Z later responded with his own statement about the allegations and shared how it would affect his family. He vehemently denied the allegations and summoned attorney Tony Buzbee.
Jay-Z said.
“I mourn another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure that at a young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand the level of inexplicable malice aimed at destroying families and human spirit,” he added.
“You made a terrible error of judgment in thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man straight out of the Brooklyn projects. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict rules and honor, you seem to take advantage of people for personal gain conspiracies, fake physics, just believing in stupid claims you brought up against me, if it weren’t for the seriousness surrounding harm to children, it would be laughable. it concludes.
