Celestine Ann Beyoncé, also known as Tina Knowles, 69, was born on January 4, 1954 in Galveston, Texas.
She is the youngest of seven siblings born to Lumis Albert Beyincé and Agnéz Beyincé. Her mother worked as a seamstress, and her father was a stevedore.
Tina’s family roots can be traced back to Boutte, Louisiana, where they have African American and Louisiana Creole heritage. She was raised in a Catholic family and spent her formative years in Galveston.
