Billie Eilish Admits Her Sexy Dressing Era Was ‘Just To Prove A Point’: ‘F**k You Guys’

Billie Eilish has been candid about her fashion choices, especially her decision to dress more seductively to show her power.

The singer sat down together Combination in an interview released on December 5, in which she shared that her decision to dress more elegantly was to prove a point that she cannot be kept in a box.

“When I was about 16, I was put in a box of like ‘Billie Eilish only wears baggy clothes. And she’s not a woman. And she doesn’t look like a girl. And she doesn’t be attractive'” Eilish began.

“So when I made ‘Happier Than Ever,’ I was like, ‘Okay, people have decided that I am this thing. And I am that thing. But I’m also all these things. other.’ So of course, following my classic style, I had to go for the completely extreme version of it,” she added.

Eilish said that she changed her “f-ck you” attitude to everyone, proving that she can do whatever she wants.

“I was like, ‘F-ck you guys. I can do whatever I want. And then I can go back to what I did before and you guys can eat it.’ So even though it’s a bit extreme that I did all that, I feel really grateful for it,” she concluded.

Elsewhere in the interview, Eilish talked about her songs “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” being the biggest hits off her most recent album, Hit me hard and soft.

“I would never in a million years pick ‘WILDFLOWER’ as a single. I would say, ‘Oh, it would be ‘Lunch’ or ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ or ‘THE GREATEST.’ Even with ‘Birds of a Feather,’ I was like, ‘Eh, maybe not.’ But it worked out for me, which was great,” she said.

“When it came to letting the fans choose the single, I didn’t even think about it that way. I just thought, ‘No single!’ But that’s really what happened and it’s so much better,” Eilish continued.

Hit me hard and soft was critically acclaimed and made many publications’ year-end lists as one of the best albums of the year. She also earned multiple Grammy nominations for this project.
