The “broken hearted” alum married his much younger wife in October 2023. According to TMZ and People, Cyrus quietly filed papers in Nashville on May 22.

Court documents obtained by news agencies revealed the couple decided to divorce due to “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital behavior”. The 62-year-old country music singer also requested an annulment of the marriage on grounds of fraud.
According to TMZ, the “Some Gave All” singer gave Firerose a deadline to vacate their home and pay her $5,000 per month for 90 days or until the divorce is finalized to have obtain suitable housing in Tennessee.
It marked his third marriage and divorce following his relationships with Cindy Smith and Tish Cyrus. He shares three children – Miley, Braison and Noah – with the latter.
Tish has since moved on with Dominic Purcell, whom she married in 2023.

Billy Ray and Firerose have yet to comment on the profile, but they have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The estranged couple’s relationship began when they collaborated on several songs amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They officially started dating in 2022 before Billy Ray proposed a few months later.
The couple married in 2023.
They shared on Instagram: “October 23, 2023 will always be the beautiful, joyful day that our two souls merged into one in sacred marriage. It is the most perfect, elegant celebration of love.” that we can imagine”. “For both of us when we heard the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife,’ that was the moment our new, forever sacred moment began. Before their divorce, they released four songs together: “After the Storm”, “Time”, “New Day” and “Plans”.

They also appeared together on Good morning America in August 2023 to perform “Plans” and share their love story.
“We were like… It was peanut butter and jelly,” Billy Ray said. “I’m a left-handed singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she’s a trained orchestral musician…”
Firerose added, “It’s been an amazing whirlwind and I’m so grateful that I get to live out my dreams every day with the love of my life.”
