Robert Renwick Mortimer, better known as Bob Mortimer, is an English comedian, actor, writer and presenter. He is best known for his work as part of the sketch comedy duo Vic and Bob with Vic Reeves, and for his appearances on the following panel shows: Meteor, would I lie to you? and Task Manager.
He was the youngest of three children. His father was a businessman and his mother was a housewife. Mortimer attended St Bede’s Grammar School in Middlesbrough, where he met Vic Reeves.

On the day he was admitted to hospital, Mortimer married his girlfriend of 22 years, Lisa Matthews, via a marriage certificate sent by express mail from London. They have two sons, Harry and Tom.
