Robert Edwin ‘Bobby’ Lee, Jr. was born in San Diego County, California, to parents Jeanie Lee and Robert E. Lee. He and his younger brother, Steve Lee, grew up in Poway, California.
Poway High School, Twin Peaks Middle School and Painted Rock Elementary School were all attended by Bobby Lee. In high school, he was a member of the breakdance team.
