Early life
Bolanle Olukanni was born in Lagos, Nigeria to Mr. and Mrs. Olukanni in the early 90s. Besides Nigeria, she has lived in the United States, Israel, and Kenya.
She is the younger sister of Ojuolape Asuquo, wife of award-winning musician and producer Cobhams Asuquo. She is currently in her 30s.
From an early age, she showed interest in the world of media and her dream was to become a TV presenter.
Education
She obtained her First School Leaving Certificate from St. Saviors Primary School, Lagos.
She then attended Queens College for high school.
She left college just before her senior year and moved to the United States. She attended Wichita Southeast High School in Kansas for her senior year. While there, she competed in the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Dramatic Interpretation.
She received her BA from Loyola University, Chicago in 2007. She graduated from the university with a double major in International Communications and Arts.
Career
Bolanle’s career as a media goddess began when she was still a teenager. At the age of 16, she landed an internship at a Kenyan Radio Station.
After graduating from university, she moved back to Nigeria and soon landed her first TV presenting job. She was chosen to co-host the show, Moments with Mo, alongside Mo Abudu, founder of EbonyLife TV. The show became a hit and aired on DStv.
She also got the opportunity to host the reality TV show Project Fame West Africa. Her co-host was actor Joseph Benjamin.
In 2015, Bolanle took another step in his career by co-founding multimedia company Sage & Walls.
In 2019, she was recruited by Ndani TV to host The Juice. Ndani TV is an online television channel sponsored by Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB).
She also produces and hosts her own show called On The Carpet with Bolinto.
As an entrepreneur, she co-founded a hair care services company, My Wash And Go. Her co-founder is actress, Zainab Balogun. The salon is located in Lekki, Lagos.
She is also actively involved in advocacy work. She is a partner of the non-profit organization The Self Worth Organization. She is also the founder of the God’s Wives Foundation.
