Early life and education
Bovi, a Nigerian comedian, was born on September 25, 1979 in Benin City, Edo State. He started his studies at UNIBEN Staff School and later studied at Government College in Ughelli. Chief Eddie Ugboma and Margaret Ugboma raised him. He has three siblings named Jiji, Albert and Zino.
Due to disciplinary problems, he was forced to leave and continue his studies at Edokpolor Grammar School. He eventually transferred again to the Model Boys High School in Onicha Olona, a boarding school.
After completing his secondary education, Bovi pursued his passion for theater arts by enrolling in Delta State University, Abraka.
Career
Bovi’s career began in 2007 when he took on multiple roles on the sitcom Extended Family, including writing and producing. This successful show played an important role in promoting his career as a comedian.
The following year, in 2008, he made his stand-up comedy debut at the famous Nigerian comedy event, Night of a Thousand Lies, created by Opa Williams. Within three years, by 2011, Bovi became a representative artist for this program nationwide.
Bovi held his first comedy special, Bovi: Man on Fire, at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos in 2013. The show received a standing ovation and was later broadcast. released on DVD.
Bovi subsequently hosted many stand-up comedy specials, such as Bovi: Man on Fire 2 in 2014 and Bovi: Man on Fire 3 in 2017.

Bovi and Kris, who married on September 19, 2009, first met in 2007. During this time, Kris was employed as a flight attendant. The moment Bovi laid eyes on Kris, he immediately felt attracted to her, which led them to begin a romantic relationship soon after.
