Brian May recently revealed that he suffered a stroke, which resulted in temporary loss of control of his left arm.
The 77-year-old British icon bravely shared this health update with her fans and followers.
Sharing a video on his official website, the legendary musician said: “I’m here to bring you some news first, I think. The good news is that I can play the guitar after the events of the past few days.”
“I say this because there was some suspicion because of that little health incident that happened about a week ago. What they call a ‘mini-stroke,'” he continued.
“Suddenly, I couldn’t control this arm anymore, so I was a little scared.”
May also shared that he had temporary loss of function in his left arm.
Despite the incident, he described the ambulance ride to Frimley Hospital in Surrey as “a very pleasant experience”.
The guitarist also expressed gratitude to the medical team at the facility for providing him with “excellent care” during his hospital stay.

In a message to his supporters, May explained his initial decision to remain silent, expressing a desire to avoid any unnecessary attention or pity. He said he wanted to keep things low-key and not seek sympathy because he preferred to keep his inbox “empty.”
The “We Are the Champions” hitmaker shared that he is currently taking a hands-on approach to recovery, following his doctor’s advice to avoid activities that could significantly increase his heart rate.
“But the good news is I’m fine and I’m doing what I’m told, which is basically nothing, I’m grounded. I’m not allowed to go out, drive, get on a plane, I’m not allowed to get my heart rate too high. But I’m fine.”
This is not the first time May has faced health issues in the past as he suffered another scare and survived a heart attack in 2020.
While recovering from a torn muscle and pinched nerve related to gardening, the “We Will Rock You” icon suddenly experienced severe chest pain.
After further examination, medical experts identified three blocked arteries, putting May at risk of impeding blood flow to her heart.
When given the option of open heart surgery, he decided to have three stents placed in his heart as an alternative treatment.
