early life and education
Brian Nicholas McFadden, Irish singer and television host, was born on April 12, 1980 in Dublin, Ireland. His parents are Brendan McFadden and Mairead McFadden. He grew up with his sister Susan and attended the Billy Barry Stage School in Dublin, which led to roles in television and stage.
He also formed a pop R&B band called Cartel with his friends Tim and Darragh. McFadden holds a BA and MA from Fordham University in New York. He is of Irish descent and a Christian.

In 2011, McFadden released the single “Just the Way You Are (Drunk at the Bar)”, which was criticized by some for glorifying date rape. As a result, McFadden canceled plans for the music video, asked radio stations not to play the song, and pledged to donate all proceeds to organizations that support rape victims.
In 2020, McFadden formed the duo Boyzlife with former boyband member Keith Duffy of Boyzone. In the same year, they released their debut album “Strings Attached”. In 2022, Boyzlife released its second album “Old School”, which did not perform well commercially.
In addition to his music career, McFadden also holds television hosting roles. He co-hosted the Australian show Football Superstars from 2008-2009 and guest-starred as a judge on Australian Idol in 2009. He also worked in broadcasting, co-hosting a breakfast show in Australia in the late 2000s.
