Early life and education
Brianna Marie Keilar was born on September 21, 1980 in Canberra, Australia. She was raised by her parents Miriam Allen Keilar and Glenn Keilar, and grew up with siblings whose names are unknown to the media.
She attended Mission Viejo High School, where she was voted prom queen her senior year.
Keilar then graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001 with a dual bachelor’s degree in mass communications and psychology.
Career
Brianna Marie Keilar began her career as a production assistant and intern at KTVU-TV in San Francisco. She later worked as a general assignment reporter at KIMA-TV in Yakima, Washington, hosting a morning radio show while also serving as a weekend newsreader.
She then worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for CBS News on MTV-u and as a freelance reporter for CBS Evening News Weekend Edition. Currently, Keilar is a co-anchor of the afternoon edition of CNN News Center.
