Early life

Caleb Mutfwang was born on 12 March 1965 in Wussasa, Zaria. From 1973 to 1977, he attended LEA Ampang-West Primary School in Mangu LGA where he completed his primary education.

He then attended Gindiri Boys Secondary School, where he graduated in 1982. The Federal Bureau of Statistics and the now defunct Nigerian Bank of Commerce and Industry (NBCI) were where Caleb worked at the time.

But his desire to learn remained unchanged, and from 1983 to 1984 he enrolled at the Preparatory School in Keffi.

From 1984 to 1988, Caleb attended the University of Jos to pursue his studies. On 14 December 1989, he was admitted to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Advocate of the Supreme Court after completing his studies there.

Caleb also completed his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kaduna state where he was elected by other participants as the Chairman of the Council of Christian Corps of Nigeria in Kaduna state.

From 1990 to 1995, Caleb Mutfwang worked as a member of the prestigious law firm BYOMA, ICHABA & CO (FIDELITY CHAMBERS) based in Kaduna.

Based on his knowledge and experience, he established his own firm, Caleb Mutfwang & Co, a law firm registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, on March 21, 1996.

Caleb’s legal background led to his appointment as Deputy General Manager of Legal and Secretarial Services at Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited in Kaduna in 2002.

He held this position until 2004, when he also served as Acting Company Secretary.

Caleb Mutfwang is a respected member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association, where he serves on the Business Law Section.

He is also a member of the International Bar Association, the Christian Bar Association of Nigeria, the American Christian Bar Association and the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Caleb also holds a degree from the prestigious Haggai Leadership Development Institute of Hawaii. Having held numerous leadership positions since high school and during his time at NYSC, his knowledge and leadership abilities extend beyond the legal field.
