Camila Cabello has entered her new musical era. After many years of writing music, the singer revealed that Taylor Swift is one of the people who helped her get out of her “creative rut” when she received sincere advice while in Fifth Harmony.

In a recent interview with Taylen Biggs, the young interviewer asked the singer if there was any artist who gave her advice that she will never forget.

Cabello immediately responded to Swift as she recalled their first meeting when she was just a teenager.

“I was probably about 16 or 17 when I met one of my songwriting idols, Taylor Swift,” she said, explaining that she was still with Fifth Harmony when they attended the VMAs.
The pop star saw Swift sitting with Lorde in the audience and knew she had to interact with them because she’s a huge fan.
“I had to go up to them both and tell them I loved them,” she recalled, adding that both stars were very sweet.

Coincidentally, that was also the time when Cabello began to venture into songwriting. However, she was having difficulty writing music because of a “creative rut”, and she knew she had to ask Swift for advice that night.
“I said ‘hey, what would you say if you’re doubting yourself a lot and feeling a little stuck,'” she recalled asking, to which the “Tortured Poets Department” singer replied: “You know , when that happens to me, just keep writing, you just gotta keep writing.”

In other updates, it appears Swift isn’t the only iconic artist inspiring Cabello. She also revealed during Complex’s intimate dinner at L’Ecrin Plage during Cannes Lions in France that Madonna is also her inspiration, but this time in terms of style.
Many fans praised Cabello’s hair change. Although she has been known for her dark hair throughout her career, she has now chosen blonde hair.
“I learned how cool it was from people like Madonna or David Bowie… Always keeping it fresh for everyone,” she explains.
Camila Cabello’s new album, C, XOXO, will be released on major streaming platforms on June 28, 2024. It will have collaborations with Drake, City Girls, etc.
