Chappell Roan’s Lollapalooza performance may have seen the festival’s biggest crowd ever

Chappell Roan drew a potentially record-breaking crowd when she took the stage at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago on Thursday.

The “My Kink Is Karma” singer mesmerized the audience with a jaw-dropping performance on center stage, with a boxing ring as the backdrop and a group of powerful female athletes showing off their strength by lifting weights to the beat of “Hot to Go!”

The exact number of attendees who attended Roan’s performance at Grant Park has not been confirmed, but a Lollapalooza representative told CNN that her performance was “the biggest daytime show we’ve ever seen.”

Preparing Golden Gate Park for Roan to take over the main stage at Outside Lands 2024 in San Francisco on Sunday afternoon is a top priority.

Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, continues to shine as she establishes herself as an artist admired by many other musicians in the industry.

She even declared while performing at Coachella in April, “I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist.”

On Sunday, Roan was mentioned by Blink-182 at Lollapalooza when Mark Hoppus sang lyrics to her song “Pink Pony” during the band’s performance of “Dammit.”

“I’ll keep dancing at the Pink Pony Club / I’ll keep dancing in West Hollywood,” Hoppus sings instead of “Oh, I guess this is growing up.”

Roan was introduced as an emerging artist when he released his debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” in September 2023. The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart in July.
