Cheryl was allegedly stalked by the convicted killer weeks after Liam Payne’s funeral

While trying to come to terms with the loss of former One Direction member, Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy is faced with the disturbing reality of being hunted by a convicted murderer.

According to reports, Daniel Bannister, 49, became unhealthily attached to the Girls Aloud singer, 41. He came to her house without permission because of his obsession, where she lived with her seven-year-old son, Bear Payne.

He was sentenced to four months in prison last September. In addition, he was given a three-year restraining order and banned from entering Buckinghamshire, The UK Sun reports.

On December 10, a few weeks after Payne’s funeral, this newspaper reported that Bannister made another surprise visit to Tweedy’s house.

The suspect reportedly admitted to three crimes that occurred that month. He is being held in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 30.

Following a disturbing surveillance incident while she was starring in the West End production of “2:22 A Ghost Story,” Tweedy made the decision to increase security measures in March 2023. The atmosphere in Her nightly performances were affected by the presence of disturbing notes left for her at the theater.

After being convicted of causing the untimely death of his neighbor, Rajendra Patel, in 2012, Bannister spent two and a half years in prison. The incident began as Patel was walking towards the elevator when Bannister viciously attacked him with a series of punches and kicks.

Fifteen days after the incident, Patel died of pulmonary thrombosis related to the assault.

News of Tweedy’s stalker comes after a thorough investigation, with Payne’s tragic and early death on October 16, 2024 officially determined to be “multiple traumatic injuries”.

People with polytrauma have severe injuries that affect multiple body parts or systems at the same time.

This type of injury is commonly seen in situations involving high-impact incidents, such as car crashes or falls from high heights.

BBC reported that Dr. Roberto Victor Cohen officially announced during the investigation that the singer’s death was caused by multiple severe injuries.

Senior Coroner Crispin Butler highlighted the ongoing investigations in Argentina and highlighted the need for thorough examination to determine where the injuries came from.

Payne’s death has prompted investigations into the events leading up to the tragedy, mainly focusing on a sudden change in hotel room availability as a possible factor.

Legal action is said to have been taken against five individuals in connection with his death.

In a recent announcement by the Argentine National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, three individuals were brought up on manslaughter charges including hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi and a close associate. Payne’s close friend is Roger Nores.

Charged with distributing cocaine were Ezequiel Pereyra, a hotel employee, and Braian Paiz, a waiter.
