Chinonso Young Umesiobi was born on December 8, 1987 into a loving family.
She is an Igbo from her tribe and hails from a state in southern Nigeria.

In 2007, Chinonso Young landed her first acting job, a stage play called A Voice For Ella, in which she played an evil stepsister. The film was produced by Isioma Onochie Aihie and directed by Solomon Macaulay.
