Deon Derrico is known as the star of Double with Derricos. He has an older brother named Christopher Shonnald Turner who is better known as Chris Derrico. He recently made the decision to honor the memory of his late brother through an IG post.

Chris and Deon’s mother, Marian, also sobbed about losing her son. In April 2020, Marian wrote: “I was lying in bed thinking about my First Son, Christopher Turner. I remember his whole life being very scared about the possibility of him being harmed or hurt in some way. But never really thinking or believing that he could actually be taken away from me…wow, how naive I was. I have been so numb since he left, the numbness is slowly fading and the pain I feel is unreal. The loss that engulfed my body was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Deon’s wife, Karen, tries to comfort him as he breaks down at the prospect of a family member he has never met. In Ep. 3, We Didn’t Start the Fire, viewers hear: “My name is Amani,” Amani says in the voicemail. “Your brother Chris could be my dad.”

“I don’t know what to think – there’s so much to take in,” Deon tells the camera. “Christopher is my older brother and I really admired him growing up.” “Chris’s passing came as a complete surprise to us,” he continued. Deon said he has “mixed feelings” over the possibility that his late brother may have had a son he never knew about.

Chris, who passed away suddenly on January 27, 2020, probably had no idea Amani had a son and had never met him. Deon later verified Amani as Derrico and Chris’s son, however, viewers would not know the outcome until the following show.

“Next to my beautiful mom GG and handsome nephew Amani with a photo of his dad, my brother Chris, on the wall behind us,” Deon captioned the photo from December 2022. However, the post has since been deleted.

GG asked her potential grandchild to undergo a DNA test to ensure that he was Chris’s child during their webcam chat with Amani during the season.
