Chris Konya began his radio career in the advertising department at 95.5 WPLJAfter months of setting up promotions, driving for radio stations, and assisting with competitions, he was encouraged to apply for the rarely available associate producer role for “Scott and Todd in the Morning.” He was offered the job, accepted the role, and spent a year waking up near midnight so he could catch the last night train into New York City to get to the studio in time for one of the biggest morning radio shows in the country.
His love for entertainment grew from there. He began looking for broadcasting positions and when a position opened up in Rochester, New York, he took it. He packed up his car and moved to Buffalo Bills territory in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. When he joined, BEE Morning Coffee Club was falling in the ratings due to the sudden loss of one of their long-time members. He likes to share this story that with enthusiastic co-hosts and the new elements he introduced to the show, the show returned to the top almost immediately.
