Early life
Jeanie Marie Buss was born on September 26, 1961 to Joann and Jerry Buss. She has three siblings. She was raised by her brothers Johnny and Jim, as well as her sister Janie.
After his parents divorced in 1972, Buss felt emotionally abandoned. Buss attended World Tennis Team meetings with her father, who owned Los Angeles Strings, when she was 14 years old.
She grew so knowledgeable about Pickfair that she began giving tours. World TeamTennis ceased operations in 1978, only to resume operations in 1981 as TeamTennis.
