Christina Love said yes to Jon Dore’s proposal in February 2023. “He proposed to me and I said YES,” Christina wrote on her social media a few days later. She also informed everyone that although she had no plans to date yet, she was looking forward to celebrating her big day with everyone. Another thing she assured everyone was that they would not have a big wedding.
Years ago, they met on a business trip. Christina was invited by her friend to Fairbanks, Alaska and coincidentally, both she and Jon were in Fairbanks on the same day. Christina was invited by another friend to a comedy show and at that venue, Christina saw Jon right away. Her first impression of him was that he was a very tall and very handsome guy. So he disappeared and then stared at Christina. And then their love happened at first sight. Jon asked for Christina’s email. She smiled and gave him her phone number and that was it. They spent months chatting and their relationship blossomed into a story of friendship and love.
When they first met, Jon was living in West Hollywood as an actor and comedian. So they spent months flying back and forth between California and Alaska. He would fly to Alaska multiple times a month.

Christina also has a daughter named Emma from a previous relationship. According to her, Jon is also a great father to Emma. She has shared on social media more than once how she has seen him love her child and love her like his own. She said she has seen Jon light up like the sun when telling her about Jackson’s new adventures or Emma’s latest story.

She also shared a story about the first time Jon met Emma. She said that Emma was just 4 years old and she fell in love with him immediately, and over time, their relationship grew. It was then that Jon made the difficult decision to move to Alaska and become Emma’s foster parent. And Christina has always been grateful for his love and willingness to join her family.
Back on December 14, 2022, their “wonderful” Emma turned 9. Her biological father, Leonard (Lenny) Duane Hill, passed away on October 1, 2021.

Christina Love has often spoken at length about the hardships she faced growing up. Her father was a convicted pedophile who disappeared when she was two years old.
She said life wasn’t easy growing up, as in her early 20s she was stripping for money in Anchorage to support her addiction to alcohol, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines, and Benzodiazepines. Her mother, an Alutiiq woman with developmental disabilities, also had cancer. So Christina’s grandmother took her in and raised her for 18 years.

Christina Love has worked full-time for the Trauma-Informed Policy and Practice campaign and the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault since September 2017.
According to LinkedIn, she is a counselor, rehabilitation coach, and civil and human rights activist. Christina has spent the past decade working on multi-level systemic change for underserved and underrepresented populations in Alaska. As a former incarcerated person in long-term rehabilitation, she is part of a collective movement working to end violence, oppression, shame, and stigma through liberation education and community healing.
Additionally, Christina also graduated from Kenny Lake High School in 2004. She then attended Comenius-Gymnasium Datteln in Germany.
