Early life and education
Boris Sanchez was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, on November 15, 1985. He and his parents moved to Miami in the United States. He was born to a father named Jose Sanchez and a mother named Puchita Sanchez.
He has a younger sister named Leslie Sanchez. He attended high school at Miami Dade College.

After graduating from high school, Boris Sanchez enrolled in Syracuse University. While there, he interned at NBC affiliate WTVJ.
He is reported to have graduated from Syracuse University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations.
Personal life
Seven years after graduating, Boris Sanchez decided to take a chance by marrying his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Piekut.
He married Jennifer Pieku in 2016 in a private wedding. It was only recently that the identity of his wife was revealed. There are currently no details about their children. We are still waiting for the birth of their first child.
Career
Boris Sanchez reportedly began his career as an anchor for the weekend edition of KRCR in Redding, California. Prior to that, he anchored the 10 p.m. newscast of FOX 31 Denver from 2012 to 2015.
Also in 2015, he started working as a reporter for CNN, he is very creative and his works are widely recognized by fans across the United States.

Boris Sanchez was among the first journalists to cover the Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre and the riots in Charlotte, North Carolina, following the police shooting of an African-American man that same year.
In 2016, he also covered several historic natural disasters, including catastrophic flooding in Louisiana, Hurricane Matthew in northern Florida, and the devastating earthquake in Ecuador.
In 2017, Boris Sanchez covered the Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting. He traveled to Quebec and other Canadian cities that same year to highlight Donald Trump’s visits across the country.
In May 2019, he traveled to Japan to cover President Donald Trump’s visit. In April 2021, he joined New Day The Weekend as a co-host.
