Early life and education
Colleen Mashawana, a South African citizen, was born on 2 September 1981 in Venda, Limpopo. He comes from a humble background, born into a family of three, his parents hailing from Limpopo, South Africa.
For his primary education, he attended Tshishonga Primary School. He then attended high school at Liivha Private School.

After completing her secondary education, Colleen Mashawana decided to continue her studies and enrolled at Henley Business School. At Henley Business SchoolColleen studied Information Technology and Business Administration to expand her knowledge and skills in these areas.
Career
Colleen Mashawana began her career journey at Microsoft South Africasecured the position after completing his Information Technology degree. He moved to Dimension Data in 2005 where his contributions led to significant growth of the organization.
In 2008, Mashawana’s outstanding performance earned him the award Esprit du Corp Awardunderscoring his dedication to excellence. At the same time, he was appointed National Director of the Public Sector in South Africa, cementing his reputation for success and leadership.
A successful entrepreneur, Colleen Mashawana has expanded her presence in the investment industry through strategic mergers and acquisitions, boasting around 25 subsidiaries. In 2010, she founded Khwinisa Technologies, later renamed Telcolink, which emerged as a successful company in the IT industry.
Mashawana’s entrepreneurial achievements have received recognition, including the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the South African Men of the Year and recognition from the South African government’s Department of Social Development.
