Early life
Khanyisa Bunu was born on August 12 in the early 1980s. She was born and raised in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa.
She was raised by both parents in a modest household. As a child, she had the uncanny ability to attract people of all ages including elders, subordinates, and peers.

Career
Khanyisa Bunu started her career as a high school teacher. She teaches using English and Geography. She was unhappy with her teaching job and decided to leave teaching after nearly a decade of teaching.
Immediately after her resignation, she left the Eastern Cape and moved to Johannesburg to pursue a career in comedy. She auditioned for the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s stand-up comedy competition titled So You Think You Are Funny.
This was her first foray into the comedy department of the South African entertainment company. She was eliminated in the later stages of the competition but the experience she gained created the foundation for her comedy career.
Besides comedy, Khanyisa Bunu is also an excellent writer and actor. She has written a large number of articles for several South African newspaper companies and in 2013. She wrote her first novel titled Umbhodamo. Her book received many positive reviews and is required reading for grade 8 and 9 students in South Africa.
Khanyisa Bunu portrayed Nobuhle in the fourth season of the South African show, Ses Top La. She has also appeared in several South African television series.
