Early life
Cometan was born on 1 July 1998 in Preston, Lancashire, the first child of his parents. He was named Brandon Reece Taylor by his parents. His father was Sean Taylor, who owned a vending machine business at the time of his birth. His mother was Louise Counsell, a professional hairstylist and hair salon owner.
His parents had been together for seven years before he was born. Lucia was his mother’s child from a previous relationship. However, when Cometan was four, his parents separated due to irreconcilable differences. The separation occurred in 2002, and by this point, Sean and Louise had spent eleven years together as a couple.
However, they never married. When his father moved out of the family, he was raised by his mother alone. But she did not do everything by herself because his grandparents – both his father’s and his mother’s – became a part of his life.
Cometan’s grandparents played a large role in his upbringing. During his pre-teen years, he spent weekends at the home of his paternal grandparents, Derrick Taylor and Irene Taylor. This gave him the opportunity to interact with many of his cousins and other family members. He also visited his maternal grandparents, Bill Warbick and Hilda Warbick, regularly, who spared no effort to shower him with love and attention.
His grandmother, Irene, was a devout Catholic; therefore, she made sure that he attended church regularly, attended mass and learned about the teachings of Christianity. He was always accompanied by his cousin, Thomas Taylor, who was living with his grandparents at the time. Thomas, born in 1994, was four years older than him.
Visiting his grandparents’ estate helped him learn to play the piano. Several of his older cousins were piano players, and they encouraged him to start practicing the instrument. It didn’t take long for him to become a proficient piano player.
Education
Cometan had a solid educational background. He attended St. Mary’s and St. Benedict’s Catholic schools for his primary education.
For his secondary education, he attended Brownedge St. Mary’s Catholic High School. He studied English Literature & Language, Media Studies and Geography at Cardinal Newman College for his A.
When he turned eighteen, he applied to the University of Central Lancashire and was accepted to study Business and Marketing. He graduated from the university in 2020.
On 16 September 2021, he was awarded a Masters degree from the University of Central Lancashire with distinction.
Career
Despite his young age, Cometan was a leading religious figure in the United Kingdom. He was the founder of Astronism, a cosmological philosophy that originated in the astro-religious religions practiced during the Stone Age. To make this philosophy more understandable to current and future members, he wrote a founding book called Omnidoxy.
He also came up with Vendox, the symbolic name of Astronism. He also founded the Astronist Institute to be the proprietor of Astronism and was tasked with preserving and developing all the different elements that make up the Astronist religion.
The story of Cometan’s rise as a religious leader can be traced back to the year he discovered his gift, which was his fifteenth birthday. That day, he came up with the idea of creating his own fictional detective series. At the time, he only had one character in mind, which he named Jesse Millette. Little did he know that the idea of Jesse Millette would expand and develop into a philosophical movement now known as Astronism,
Considered a very intelligent philosopher, Cometan is famous for his unique quotes and beliefs. Some of his beliefs are perceptualism, astrology, cosmology, cosmocentrism, celestial cosmology, transcendentalism.
At the forefront of the Astronist religious revival movement that took place around the world, he published several books and articles to further spread the message of astronomy. Notable ones include the Institutional Dictionary Of Astronism, The Monodoxy, The Duodoxy, Jesse Millette, The Phantom’s Curse and The Original Jesse Millette series.
In addition to his work as a philosopher and religious leader, Cometan also worked in the corporate world as a business marketer. He got his first job at the age of fourteen when he was hired by his mother, Louise, to work in her pub. When he was eighteen, he took a volunteer position at Hoghton Tower, a stately fortified house in the village of Hoghton. After proving himself to be diligent, he was hired as a paid employee, working as a Marketer.
Like most of his cousins, Cometan took piano lessons as a child, which led to his developing an interest in music. He attended Heylings School of Music, where he improved his piano skills and established himself as a promising musician. By the age of nineteen, he had received a level four diploma in music theory and was taking music exams up to level five.
