Country singer Austin Tanner faces legal trouble for violating his Instagram bond
Aspiring country singer Austin Tanner is facing legal trouble for allegedly violating his bond conditions while attending the CMAs.
On November 27, Fox News published a report detailing that Tanner had received an arrest warrant for bond violations, which he violated by illegally attending the 2024 Country Music Awards.
In early April, Tanner was charged with two counts of insurance fraud and attempted theft. Tanner was eventually released on $20,000 bail and an agreement that the singer would not leave the state without the court’s permission.
It also recounts that Tanner was fully informed of the situation. According to the agency’s documents, Tanner traveled from Alabama to Nashville on November 20 to see the show without court permission and approval.
The documents also rely on Tanner’s social media posts, stating that the singer uploaded photos recalling his experience at the 2024 CMAs to his official Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Tanner was fully aware of his limits but still violated the terms of his bond, causing the court to revoke his bond. Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood emphasized that these conditions exist to ensure the safety of the community and the overall integrity of the justice system.
“When those conditions are violated, the offender must be held accountable,” Blackwood added.
Tanner’s legal team has not yet been reached for comment. However, a motion hearing was scheduled for December 4 to revoke Tanner’s bail.
