As detailed in the new Apple TV Plus documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, the pop singer suffered a psychotic episode in 2018. She seemed like a completely different person at the time. Luckily, she was surrounded by her closest friends, including Courtney, who helped her stay sober.

“I have to say that friendships have really saved me in a huge way and that’s because I’m aware of who I’m with. So the people in my life are lovely people, people who have substance, live normal lives and have priorities and responsibilities that I might not have,” the star explained.
