Crispin Hellion Glover (born April 20, 1964) also known as Crispin Glover, is a talented actor and filmmaker from the United States. He is also a musician, filmmaker, and novelist. He holds a unique position in the entertainment industry and is known for playing eccentric characters.
He began acting at the age of 13, playing small roles in several sitcoms before making his screen debut in the 1983 erotic comedy My Mentor. He rose to fame playing George McFly in Back to the Future.
This box office hit helped Crispin Glover showcase his uniqueness and talent, and he subsequently played the lead role of Rodion Raskolnikov in the film Bartleby and Willard and the film adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment.

Early life and education
Crispin Glover was born on April 20, 1964, in New York City, the only child of actor Bruce Glover and his actress wife Betty Glover (born Bloom Colber). His mother retired soon after he was born. He grew up in a creative, multicultural family in Los Angeles, California, after the family moved there. He has a brother named Michael Leigh.
He gave the famous St Crispin’s Day speech in William Shakespeare’s historical tragedy Henry V and is of English, Czech, Swedish and German descent.
Crispin Glover attended Millman School for grades 1-9, Venice High School for grades 10 and 11, and Beverly Hills High School for grade 12. He received his high school diploma in 1982.

At the age of 13, Crispin Glover made his debut in the sitcoms Happy Days and Family Ties. He made his screen debut in The Teacher, and later appeared in The Teacher (1984), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), Back to the Future (1985) and Gremlins (the third installment of the Beaver trilogy) (1985). In 1986, he played Ryan in The River’s Edge alongside Keanu Reeves, one of the most important roles of his career.
Crispin Glover’s second major acting role was as Rubin in the British independent comedy buddy film Rubin & Ed (1991). In the same year, 1991, he played Andy Warhol in Oliver Stone’s The Doors. He played the silent assassin in the action comedy Charlie’s Angels (2000) and its sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003).

Crispin Glover is now filming his third film as a director, which he hopes will be a platform for his collaboration with his father. He recently played the monster Grendel in the 3D motion-capture epic fantasy Beowulf (2007), his first starring role in 22 years alongside Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis.
