Damon Dash’s High-Value Bling Snapped on Social Media Aims to Settle $823K Debt

Damon Dash is dealing with a growing list of legal issues to deal with after a New York court determined that his personal jewelry can be sold to pay off his debts – to be exact. price 823,284.71 USD.

According to documents obtained by AllHipHop from the Clerk’s Office, Plaintiffs Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures LLC brought the request to Judge Robert Lehrburger in the Southern District of New York.

The plaintiffs are asking a judge to force Dash to provide documents related to the ownership of several businesses, including Lebanon Improvement LLC and Ocean East Improvement LLC, to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The other thing the plaintiff wants is a court order to sell Dash’s jewelry, which includes a necklace with a gold pendant, a “Dame” necklace, a “Dusko” necklace, a watch gold, three gold rings, two Roc-A-Fella necklaces and a set of diamond and gold earrings.

Those are the items that Dash has photographed on social media.

This requirement refers to New York statutes regulating the enforcement of money judgments against a debtor’s personal assets, including stocks and other movable property.

According to the plaintiffs, Dash’s sale of the jewelry was legally justified in the context of his public promotion of both Roc-A-Fella shares and his jewelry.

An auction was planned for November, with the proceeds to be distributed to several creditors last October.

This includes $193,000 in child support and more than $1.7 million in state taxes. Additional cash was earmarked for Webber. Dash allegedly owes more than $7 million in taxes

These legal disputes also represent friction between Dash and JAY-Z, the other Roc-A-Fella co-founder, as the two are in the midst of a bitter ongoing battle over the classic 1996 album by JAY-Z, “Reasonable Doubt”.
