Daniel John Bongino was born to Italian-American parents on December 4, 1974, in Queens, New York City. Named John Bongino and Judy. He also has an older brother named Joe Bongino.

He grew up in a working-class family and attended public schools. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997.

Career

Bongino’s professional journey began with him serving as an officer with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for four years. After that, he moved to work at the US Secret Service, protecting President George W. Bush and President Obama.

To pursue a career in politics, Bongino left the Secret Service in 2011 and ran for the United States Senate in Maryland. Unfortunately, he was not successful in winning the Republican nomination, which incumbent Ben Cardin held.
