A lot of celebrities spend time in Los Angeles serving food or drinks to Hollywood stars before making it big themselves, but young David Schwimmer gave them divorce papers.
the Friend the star, 58, shared during the above appearance The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday that he was just a teenager when he worked as a court document server.
“One summer after my freshman year of college, I was looking for a job and my mom said, ‘Oh, you could be my process manager,’” Schwimmer said. “My mom was a divorce lawyer.” kiss, and I’m the one who’s going to pop out of the bushes and give you divorce papers.”
Schwimmer describes feeling like “James Bond”, often receiving advice on where the recipient should go.
“There was a time where, oh my god, thank God, I’ve never seen him since, but I served Rod Stewart,” Schwimmer admitted. “I don’t even know if he knows. I don’t think he knows.”
Stewart and his first wife Alana Stewart married in 1979 and divorced in 1984, when Schwimmer was about 18 years old.
“Theoretically, you could see Rod Stewart sometime,” Colbert warns. “Now he knows how to punch you.”
