Diddy’s legal team scrambles as Rapper allegedly refuses to accept court service, delaying sexual assault lawsuits

Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly reluctant to step out of his cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, delaying several sexual assault cases filed against him.

But with the denial, negotiations and legal proceedings have become “complicated,” documents filed by co-counsel for attorney Tony Buzzbee said.

“We have been in negotiations with the defendant’s counsel regarding service of process, planning and case management in a variety of related actions,” the letter stated.

“The delay was due to defendant Combs refusing to leave his cell to receive services. We believe we have now reached an agreement in principle with the defendant’s lawyers but are continuing to discuss the details about schedule.”

Citing those issues, as well as Buzbee’s unavailability on that date, the co-counsel requested that the meeting scheduled for January 10, 2025 be rescheduled. They proposed in February as a solution replace.

The news comes after allegations that Combs is struggling mentally behind bars.

The music mogul was told he couldn’t bail in time for the holidays, and sources said he was “devastated”.

“With his powerful legal team, Diddy thinks he is now out on bail,” the anonymous source told Dailymail. Spending his holidays in prison was a nightmare for him.”

According to the site, the source added that Combs used meditation techniques to calm down, but another source denied this, saying, “He’s still going strong in prison.”

Combs will be tried on sex trafficking and fraud charges in May 2025.

The scrutiny continues on the Bad Boy Records founder, with recent allegations and filings emerging.

Combs’ legal team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Combs is the subject of several sexual assault lawsuits, which have attracted national attention. The plaintiffs accused Combs of using his position of power to prey on people — allegations Combs has strongly denied.
