Dima was born in the Onuoha family home on October 3. A few days after her birth, her parents decided to name her: Chidimma Doris Onuoha.

She was born and raised in Imo State in the southeast of the country. She is from the Igbo ethnic group and grew up speaking both English and Igbo.

She comes from a middle-class but close-knit family. The Onuohas are a prominent family in Imo State, known for their strict moral code. The Onuohas instilled good moral values in their daughter, such as respect for elders, hard work, self-discipline, and kindness. They also taught her to cherish the customs and traditions of her homeland.

Since the beginning of her professional music career, Dima has released dozens of gospel singles, many of which have been commercially successful, solidifying her status as one of the most talented singers in the gospel music industry.

Over the years, she has also amassed a huge fan base across the country and has been invited to minister at several Christian events and shows in the country as her music is considered to bless lives.
