Dyson Daniels started his professional career with Bendigo Braves in NBL1, his father’s former team.
He then enrolled in the Global Academy of NBA in Canberra, where he cultivated his skills. In June 2021, Daniels signed a contract with the NBA G League Ignite, a development group associated with the NBA G League.
He rejected an invitation from a number of university programs and the National Basketball League Next Stars.
In 26 matches in the G League, he recorded an average of 12 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and twice robbed the ball each match.
On April 16, 2022, Daniels announced its participation in NBA Draft 2022 and was selected with the eighth overall selection by New Orleans Pelicans.
