Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE (/rn/; born 17 February 1991) is a famous English singer, actor and songwriter.

Ed Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, near Birchcliffe Road in Hebden Bridge, his childhood home.

Ed Sheeran’s father, John Sheeran, is the curator of Cartwright Hall in Bradford, and his mother, Imogen Sheeran, works at Manchester City Art Gallery.

In December 1995, he and his family moved from Hebden Bridge to Framlingham in Suffolk to attend the independent Brandeston Hall Preparatory School (now Framlingham Preparatory School) and then Thomas Mills High School, also in Framlingham.
