Early life and education
Elle King was born on July 3, 1989 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her father is Rob Schneider, a former actor on Saturday Night Live, and her mother is London King, a former model. She has an older brother named Noah King.
Her mother, London King, remarried after her parents divorced. She grew up between Wellston and Columbus, Ohio. When she was nine, her stepfather, Justin Tesa, gave her a record by the all-female hard rock band The Donnas.
This was a major milestone in her music career. After that, she started listening to The Runaways and Blondie. Elle King also made her acting debut in the film of the same name, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, along with her stepfather.
Elle King began playing guitar at age 13 and grew up listening to Otis Redding, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Al Green and Earl Scruggs.
