Meet Greg Glassman’s Ex-Wife Lauren Jenai at CrossFit

Lauren Jenai is Greg Glassman’s second ex-wife. The two married after Greg’s first marriage to Brande Jones ended. Unfortunately, the CrossFit co-owners weren’t a good match, and they realized it too late.

In 2009, Lauren and Greg then filed for divorce, which would have split their business in two equal parts. However, it took years for their contentious divorce to be finalized, and they only reached an agreement in 2013.

Sadly, Lauren was also forced to give up half of her business to get through the divorce.

Yes, the brand is now worth much more than it was in 2009 when the asset split took place. Greg reportedly secured the necessary financing in the form of loans from other companies he had close ties to in order to repay the $16.2 million owed to his ex-wife.

But even though Lauren received $16.2 million, the four-year divorce battle, raising four children alone, sent her into a negative spiral that led to depression.

After the divorce, Greg, who single-handedly rebuilt CrossFit, married his third wife Maggie Robinson—a CrossFit athlete nearly three decades his junior. The millionaire now has a total of seven children.

Did you know: Greg Glassman founded CrossFit with Lauren in 2000. From its first Seattle-based affiliate gym in 2005, the brand has now grown to more than 13,000 gyms worldwide.

Lauren Jenai relationship status today

Lauren Jenai is currently in a “complicated” relationship (as of 2022). She has split from her second husband Franklin Tyrone Tucker, but their divorce is still not finalized.

In fact, she still had to pay Franklin’s $75,000 bail—originally set at $2 million! The bail was reduced in December 2022 after the original bail agreement expired.

Lauren initially mortgaged her two homes to secure bail. But because that bail agreement expired after three years and the judge believed Franklin was “not a flight risk,” they reduced the bail. The next hearing is scheduled for spring 2023.

Looking back, Lauren first met Franklin as a teenager in Philadelphia in the late ’80s. But because their lives were so different—Lauren loved fitness and Franklin loved adventure—they never saw the possibility of them being together.

But after Lauren was divorced and “single and happy,” she found out Franklin was taken. And although she wasn’t looking for love or “picking up other people’s dirty socks,” she quickly contacted him. “He was shocked. He said, ‘I knew one of my friends would come looking for me, but I didn’t expect it to be you,’” Lauren recalled Franklin telling her at the time.

So after learning that Franklin didn’t even have a lawyer and “something shady was going on,” she was determined to help him, and while fighting for justice, the couple got married in June 2020.

Sadly, Lauren’s marriage fell apart once again and they split in 2021.

They are expected to divorce after Franklin’s case is resolved.
